Looking After Your Hair
If you’ve made the decision to invest in hair extensions you want to make sure that they last for
as long as possible. Looking after them
is easy you just have to take the time to handle them
with care and follow these easy steps.
Maintaining your look
For optimum
results you will need to go back to Elaine for a
maintenance check after 3-4 weeks of having the
extensions applied. She will be able to check that
everything is ok and will also
be able to provide you with all the advice on how to get
the longest lasting and optimum results. You can use styling products on your extensions but be careful to only apply to the lengths and ends of your hair and not to the bond itself. If you are a woman who struggles to grow her hair past a certain length or if
it lacks volume then Great Lengths hair extensions could be the answer to your problems.
Tips on hair care:
Brush starting at the bottom of the hair and work your
way up. This is the opposite of how you normally brush
your own hair. Don't take long quick strokes that could
catch on the bonds.
Prior to Bedtime
It is recommended that you braid your hair or pull it
back into a soft ponytail holder or scrunchy before bed.
This prevents tangling while sleeping.
Regular maintenance
With regular maintenance which includes brushing daily with a soft bristle brush, the extensions can last up to six months. However it is recommended that after approximately 3 months some strands will need to be replaced.
